A mathematician and designer of sophisticated numerical and analytic models, Gerard K. O'Reilly helps develop, test, and implement the financial models used to build Dimensional's structured portfolios. Since joining the company in 2004, he has been involved in the design of new investment products and more efficient methods of portfolio management, as well as in portfolio reporting.
Gerard received his Ph.D. in aeronautics and applied mathematics from the California Institute of Technology in 2004. He also holds an MSc. in high-performance computing and a BA in theoretical physics from the mathematics department of Trinity College Dublin, where he was a recipient of the College's Arthur Lyster prize in mathematics.
